FAU-G will include a level on Galwan Valley

As many of us have already heard, that an Indian firm named nCore Games is set to launch an online multiplayer game. The name of the game is Fearless and United: Guards (FAU-G). The Bengaluru based company has partnered up with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar to fill the gap left by the previously popular game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) as it was banned by the Indian government because of its association with the Chinese firm, Tencent.

As per nCore Games, this game was in developments for months, even way before the PUBG game was banned due to the Galwan Valley issue.

It was the clashes in June between the Indian and Chinese soldiers around a disputed border in the Galwan Valley region which led to the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers. This caused an uproar throughout India. The news of the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers greatly affected the Indian people’s sentiments that created an anti-Chinese environment within the country. This is one of the main reasons which led to the ban of the popular game, PUBG which was associated with a Chinese firm.

Reports suggested that there were anywhere between 33 to 50 million active PUBG players in India in 2019. So, as you can understand the ban left a huge void in the Indian mobile gaming arena. As per nCore games, they are targetting to fill up this void by introducing the game, FAU-G which is custom-tailored for India. They are planning to hit the Indian sentiments by making it a game based on our very own army which will showcase their hard work and their sacrifice to keep India safe.

Recently there was a huge announcement by nCore games that they had inducted the disputed Galwan Valley area in the game. The company even launched a trailer on Youtube which depicted the Indian soldiers going up against the Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley area. It can be said that the game had already created a hype among the Indian mobile gaming community way before this announcement was made. When the game was just first announced by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar that there would be a made in India game based on the concept of Atma-Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) upon the lifestyle of the Indian soldiers in place of the banned PUBG game and 20% of the revenue generated by this game would go to a state-backed trust that supports the families of soldiers who die on duty. This announcement alone was enough to create a lot of hype among the Indian mobile gaming community, who would get a sense of patriotism by playing this game and would also be a key reason for supporting the families of the martyred soldiers. As per nCore games, the yet to release game has gotten a bigger fan base after it had announced that the first level of the game would be based on the Galwan Valley issue. They even announced that this game will be streamer friendly for the online streamer community.

It is estimated by the huge positive response which the game has already received, that the game would have a user base of 200 million within a year.

As per nCore Games, the game was set to release by the end of October 2020. But later, they changed their plans and in a new announcement, they declared the game is set to release by November 2020.
